Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Growing up in Europe, I didn’t celebrate it until I moved in with my husband, a New York local. Once we started our journey together, I embraced the tradition wholeheartedly. It involves a lot of cooking–I am an avid believer in cooking from scratch.
This year’s menu is a feast of flavors: buttery herby Mediterranean turkey breast, white truffle parm mashed potatoes, bacon and apple stuffing, cranberry sauce, baked green beans with feta cheese, maple-glazed carrots, pomegranate orange kale salad, and, of course, pumpkin pie and apple pecan pie to finish. I like to add a pinch of European taste to traditional American dishes.
